A small bag of Randticks.
Adats: 1 Krats: 0
Slot: Unequippable

Subni is a trickster of small stature residing at the Shining Pearl. The player can be informed of her by Punflen who warns them that she's only good for throwing one's money away. This turns out to be true as it turns out she cons people with a rigged game of chance, in which they gamble against her for one adat. Subni is unique compared to other speaking characters in that the sentence structure of her speech is very much broken.

Subni uses so-called Randticks that, when thrown, will after a small dance and a lightshow either show cups or sticks - basically a variation on coin throwing. However, the result of the toss is completely up to Subni. The first time the player plays with her, they win no matter the bet, while on every subsequent throw, they lose. For each game they play, the player gets to ask Subni a question.

Once the player loses to Subni multiple times (3 if the player first refuses to pay her, at 5 the option is available immediately after losing), they can call her out on her cheating, and she will try to make a deal to appease them. There are several possible choices for the player:

  • Settle on a payment of 400 krats, the lesser currency.
  • Take all of her 456 krats.
  • Take her Randticks.
  • Threaten her and take your stolen adats.
  • Receive sexual services from her.

The options that do not involve sex will be resolved in the main tavern room, after which Subni disappears from the game. If the player chooses the option to lay with her, she takes them to her rented room. Here they can either follow her to shower for an explicit scene, or they can search through her belongings and take back their stolen money.

If the player agrees to have sex with her as compensation and doesn't force anything, she leaves a note with Punflen before disappearing:

Hey, (name)! I quite enjoyed our encounter. If you ever visit the Muds, come to Takeopolis and knock on the storage room 12, I'll show you what your adats bought.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • The asymmetrical horn-like protrusions on her head are a result of an otherwise harmless condition known as the horns disease, which was inspired by the much more horrifying Shope papilloma virus wild rabbits suffer from.
  • Her affirmative 'oki' word is a shortened version of Finnish version of 'ok', 'okei'.
