Vuisul is the overseer of the Taodal market and a citizen of Taodal. Her job in the market is to keep the place orderly and prevent fights between merchants from breaking out by being a mediator in disputes.

Background[edit | edit source]

She used to be a regular merchant, selling clothes and fruits on the market. One day, Tornoth noticed her chastising other merchants in the market when they were being unruly. He then offered her the made up title of a 'market overseer' and urged her to continue doing that as a job. Tornoth even built her a house when she moved into the village for good. The job keeps her very busy and a normal day for her is quite chaotic and stressful, leaving little time for social matters.

Vuisul's parents were of two different species, therefore making her a unique hybrid. However, hybridisation often causes unwanted side effects on the offspring, and Vuisul is no exception to that rule. Her skin constantly produces a layer of potent poison that causes people who have skin contact with her to momentarily become extremely nauseous. While the effects of the poison are short-lived and not fatal, it has so far affected every person Vuisul has tested it on. Being unable to even be close to other people has made her a bit of a pariah, at least in her own mind.

To prevent herself from inadvertently poisoning others, Vuisul wears fairly heavy clothing in public at all times. Her clothes are made from fabric that doesn't let the poison seep through. Apparently she spent a long time searching for it, and she has spent most of the fabric she had on her clothes.

Player interactions[edit | edit source]

The player can find Vuisul when looking around the market. The first time the player sees Vuisul is when she is breaking up a fight between two merchants. She notices the player staring at her, and, after a short clarification that they aren't a trader, the two can have a chat about herself, her job, and the market, including the rules of the place.

There are several possible chances for the player flirt with her during their chat. If the player has expressed enough interest in her, Vuisul stops them when they're about to leave, and she asks them out on a date.

If the player accepts her invitation, in a later meeting Vuisul explains her idea for the date: a picnic at the beach. The player then has to wait for the market to calm down and then accompany her to the shore. Vuisul brings some snacks and a wish that the date isn't just a friendly picnic but one with hopefully a more intimate ending. After enjoying the food and the company, they adjourn to her house for further 'negotiations'. Besides other activities, the player can also try and see what Vuisul's poisonous skin does to him. He can also sleep over at her place. She leaves in early morning, so if the player stayed, they then can look around the empty house when he wakes up, finding nothing much of interest.

When finding Vuisul at the marker after the date, she says that she liked the experience but proposes to not do it again, both because she's busy at work and because of concerns about the player's health. From this point on, she can't be talked to again as she's always too busy with her job.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • She was born with the split symmetry syndrome, noticeable by a deep vertical ridge alongside her entire body. Unlike her poisonous skin, this doesn't seem to be an issue to her.
  • When entering her house, she jokingly tells the player to "pay no attention to the eggs behind the shelves". The player can later investigate the house to find no hidden eggs.
