Shiroo is a settlement centered around a great library located in the southern half of Noih on a border between the wasteland and the marsh delta dividing it from Paradise Pillars. The little that is known about Shiroo's geography is that some of its buildings are carved into the mountain sides alongside stepped gardens while the surrounding landscape is either a desert to the west or a marsh to the east.

Following the discovery of an abandoned library built by an unknown people, a city of knowledge-hungry scholars grew around it, and it has stayed as the centre of knowledge and academia in Noih ever since. It's fairly isolated and not easy to get to due to its location, but considering its function, that may be considered a good thing.

During their travels, the player may encounter people who come from or have lived in Shiroo. In Taodal, those are Miggpli and (only from the former's mentions) Uum. Miggpli is a zoology researcher who studies and catalogues animals, while Uum specialises in archaeology and ancient cultures. What other sciences (and possibly arts) are taught in Shiroo is unknown.
